Too hot to stay: Ruto, mudavadi to take a break from politics

William Ruto, counterpart Musalia Mudavadi  take break from campaigns to fly out to the US for a 12 day trip .

The Deputy president is expected to fly out of the country on Sunday, February 27, reportedly he will be accompanied by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi among other top official delegates of Kenya Kwanza coalition.

 

During the tour which is to last for approximately 12 days , the second in command will hold high level meetings with top government officials, elected leaders, Kenyans living in diaspora and global policy thinktanks.

According to a tweet by the Carnegie Africa program, the deputy president will grace the Carnegie Africa conversation on politics and policy which will take place at Georgia University on March 2.

The meeting is to be presided over by the chair of US house Foreign affairs sub committee on Africa, Global health and Human rights, Karen Bass.

‘”The conversation will be moderated by CEIP Africa Program Director Zee Usman and Georgetown University’s Ken Opale”  stated the meeting poster.

On March 4, the USA presidential aspirant will meet Kenyans at Mt Calvary Baptist, in Washington and then travel to the UK to deliver a speech at King College in London.

Ruto’s trip will be a break from his campaigns where he and his team have been touring the country and popularizing his bid to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta.
