Celebrated musician Steven Otieno popularly known as Stivo Simple Boy has disclosed that his music career has opened great doors for him and his is grateful.
While speaking at an interview, the Vijana tuwache Mihadarati hitmaker revealed that he once raised half a million from an endorsement he landed and used the money to build a house for his parents back in the village.
“I received half a million in the Odi bets advert. I used the money to build my parents a house,” Stivo Simple Boy said.
The rapper is the seventh born in a family of eight which comes from Oyugis in Homa Bay.
Previously Stivo narrated how he was once in the past arrested and locked in police cell for about a week over claims of impregnating a female friend.
Stivo did not disclose the ladies name but noted that she was lying about the pregnancy because she wanted to be Stivo’s girlfriend and in the same become famous.
“The girl was my friend and she was eyeing me. So she lied that I had impregnated her. She disclosed the news to her mother who was so angry but wanted to ascertain that I had indeed done the act,” Stivo recounted.
“I was jailed for a week and of course, you get beaten inside there,” he stated.
After a test was done a health facility, the results returned negative and the singer was freed.
