Nairobi Diaries star and socialite Pendo Vugustais currently in mourning following the death of her mother Mariam Cheptoo Engoke, who succum bed to Covid-19 on Friday 2nd April 2021 during the Easter celebrations.
Pendo, whose real name Stacy Vugutsa, shared the moving details with a local publication while traveling to her mother’s resting place in Vihiga county, at their family home.
A grieve-stricken Pendo said the sad news is overbearing and everything is currently too much to handle.
“It’s too much for me. It’s too much to bear. She was unwell, then suffered complications and that was it,” said Pendo.
Reportedly, her mother’s corpse was ferried from the Lee Funeral Home for Vihiga town as the burial ceremony shall take place on Saturday 3rd April 2021.
Describing her mother as her best friend, Miss Pendo on Instagram promised to tribute her parent in a special way in honor of the quality time they spent together while she was alive.
She was my best friend, my heart is shattered. It’s a big loss. I will soon do a special tribute in honor of her life and times with us,” Pendo said.
Mama Mariam was the wife to Frank Engoke (formerly of KPLC) and a co-wife to Florence Engoke and a sister-in-law to Narok County Governor Samuel Ole Tunai.
