Maragua MP Mary Wamaua dumps Uhuru for Ruto


Maragua Member of Parliament Mary Wamaua has officially joined Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

During a rally in Muranga on Wednesday, February 16, the MP ditched Jubilee and joined forces with the DP.

The MP while addressing the crowd asked DP William Ruto not to be intimidated by his critics.

She further stated that she well defend her seat on the wheelbarrow party ticket.

“Usisikize wale wanasema eti hakuna kazi inafanywa juu ya gari. Nataka nikuambie kwamba wanakupenda juu ulianzia kazi kule kwa ofisi…Wakati kazi ya ofisi ilimalizika ulikuja mashinani ndio uone iyo kazi ambayo mlipanga na rais,” she said.

The MP heaped praises on the DP for strengthening women and youth groups stating that it is an indication true leadership.

Wamaua was one of the strongest supporters of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

Last year during Raila’s Azimio La Umoja national convention, ODM leader announced that he will give a fifth stab at the presidency.

Wamaua during the rally threatened to leave the ceremony claiming that she was roughed up by security details.

She however stayed and after the function ODM Party issued an apology over the incident.

Her incoming will strengthen the DP’s team who is keen on ensuring that he bags the support of the Mt Kenya region.

ANC leader Party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula were also present.
