Popular personality and Sauti Sol’s lead singer Bien Baraza has revealed that he wanted to divorce his wife Chiki just eight months after their marriage.
While sharing details about his marriage got the first time, Bien said they got married shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic and were forced to spend lots of time together.
“My wife and I have been married almost two years, and our wedding happened a week before the pandemic started. I only looked at my wife as a love interest,” he said.
The star revealed that it reached to a point that spending all time with his wife at their home was boring.
“As amazing as she is, being in the house all day long together was driving me nuts. The small things became the big things. Eight months in, I decided that I wanted a divorce. It was too much,” he admitted.
Having decided that he did not want to be married, Bien started going for counselling sessions.
“I didn’t realise all the time we were dating I was always travelling.
My house would be empty for almost a year and I told her to move in instead of paying rent individually.
However, the the lovebirds put efforts to save their marriage and luckily figured out the relationship. He revealed that also turning his wife to his manager really helped his relationship.
It is moments like this that make me grow. My wife is good at managing things and I made her my manager. I started loving her even more. Before, we were not working together as a team to build for our future.”
