General Defao: Congolese musician dies at 62

The music industry fraternity in the world is mourning the death of legendary Congolese musician Lulendo Mutamano aka General Defao who passed away on December, 27 2021.

The musician was born on December 31, 1958 in Kinshasa died at the age of 62 at the Laquintinie Hospital in Douala, Cameroon, where he was admitted.

The star had landed in Cameroon set to entertain his fans in a private show.

According to officials Defao had been struggling with diabetes until his last breathe when he gave in to the battle.

It is reported that hours before the show started, he started feeling unwell and was rushed to the hospital where he kicked the bucket.

Musicians Ferre Gola and Fally Ipupa were among the first ones to convey their condolences, describing his demise as a loss for Africa.

The Sala Noki singer will be remembered for his melodious voice and smooth dance moves that lit up audiences.
