Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah was on Friday, February 18 , booed and heckled for attacking Lari MP Jonah Mburu.
The MP, was cut short while addressing the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Speaking to the crowd Ichung’wah opted to criticize MP mburu for supporting Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odjnga.
Video circulating the internet shows the attempt was dead on arrival as the crowd shut him demanding himto stop attacking their MP.
The demand was palpable that the Kikuyu MP was forced to pause due to the chants and gestures telling him not to go in that direction.
Jonah Mburu among the Mount Kenya MPs who have stayed loyal to the handshake team that brings together allies of President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Majority of MPs from Kiambu county have joined The Kenya Kwanza Alliance, whereas Mburu has remained rooted to the Azimio La Umoja movement.
Deputy President William Ruto and his counterparts ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Watangula toured Kiambu where they held series of rallies.
They urged Kiambu residents not to back Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga for the top seat.
The DP’s visit to Kiambu is a tactical move considering the area is Uhuru’s home.
