Deputy president William Ruto says ‘zero cows’ sentiment was misunderstood

[ad_1]

Deputy president William Ruto has broken silence on his zero cows in congo remark saying he was misunderstood.

William Ruto had earlier claimed that there are no cows in Congo thus Kenya can double her milk production and export it to the country. A statement that did not sound so well to the country’s senator Francine Muyumba. It also drew a stir on kenyans online and other local politicians.

Addressing the press on Monday February 2022, During the bottom up consultative meeting in Meru, the second in command said his remarks were entirely misinterpreted.

Ruto said what he meant was Congolese are good musicians and Kenyans are good farmers so as Kenyans play their music, DRC should import milk from us in order to achieve a symbiotic type of relationship.

“I did not have any bad intention with my remarks; what i meant was that we can be selling our milk to them as we play their music, but some people misinterpreted that, but I later apologized”  Said Ruto.
